Direct to garment T-shirt printing
This project follows a graphic from rough concept to finished direct-to-garment (DTG) print. I developed the artwork in Illustrator, prepared it for production, and evaluated how the design translated onto a polyester T-shirt.
Part 1: Coming up with the design
The project began with a concept sketch to test the idea on paper before moving into digital refinement.
Part 2: Translating it to Illustrator
I recreated the sketch as a vector illustration in Adobe Illustrator, refining the line work, selecting colors, and preparing the artwork for printing.
Part 3: The Final Result
The finished vector design was printed directly onto a polyester T-shirt using the DTG process. The final piece shows how color, detail, and material affect the translation from screen to fabric.
